What is Somatic Therapy and What Makes Your Approach Unique?

Somatic therapy explores how the body expresses deeply painful experiences, applying mind-body healing to aid with trauma recovery. The fundamental concept is a treatment focusing on the body and how emotions appear within the body. The body holds and expresses pain, traumatic events, or unresolved emotional issues, which can become trapped inside. Over time, these trapped energies lead to pain, tensions, and symptoms.

Our approach is body and emotion-based, but what sets us apart is that we pinpoint our focus with mind-body patterns, specific to the symptoms you’re experiencing. This helps us create healing and lasting relief because the roots within the psyche and body are addressed. This allows you to experience mental, emotional, and physical relief rather than just talking about it.

How is This Different from Subconscious Reprogramming or Limiting Belief Work?

Many subconscious reprogramming methods focus on mental repetition and affirmations. While these have their place, they can sometimes feel forced, disconnected, or like you’re pushing yourself to adhere to a set routine.

The headspace is noisy and the brain resists change. Instead of staying in the static, we move into the body and psyche. We give your system a felt experience where your body and brain feel real relief and change. This makes it easier to embody and sustain lasting change (making it stick).
