“You are the conduit, Anne. You connect things that I don’t understand, and that I don’t realize are there [in the subconscious] until you help me make the connection. That is one of the great things about working with you. You help me become aware and then allow me to process the emotions and memories that have come up. I used to look in the mirror and see myself as my dad and that would frustrate me. That frustration has been building for the last 30 years, and I had resentment and aggravation over it.
